  • The purpose of this project is to describe the increased involvement of the members of session in the confirmation process, and to examine the session's response to that increase. The session members agreed upon goals for the confirmation class and learned how those goals were used to design the course. The members were challenged to assess the confirmands' progress by viewing online reflections, meeting with the confirmands weekly, and guiding the writing of personal statements of faith in the final class. The increased involvement motivated the session to think creatively about new intergenerational connections in the church.
