  • The process of drafting a mission statement and subsequent long-range planning will begin reversing years of decline in a church. By stating a clear purpose and direction, renewal begins. This clarity of purpose also produces enthusiasm and unity while increasing membership participation. The author's primary finding for future ministry regards the differentiating of church mission from structure. The project produced a great awareness that mission must precede structure. The structure of the church, by biblical design, must facilitate the accomplishment of the mission.
