Abstrakt

The goal of this project is to empower the deacons of a senior adult family congregation to provide effective pastoral care in a context where issues relating to the aging process are beginning to affect the spiritual welfare of the church. The plan for this project entails a series of training seminars designed specifically to enhance the care-giving responsibilities of the church's deacons. These seminars will foster a deeper awareness of the spiritual, physical, psychological, and hospice care issues that challenge the lives of senior adult members of the congregation.
