Abstrakt

This project measured the impact of spiritual direction on successful navigation through menopausal or 'wilderness' transition. Four select groups of women from Northeast Ohio pregnancy centers attended two-hour menopause seminars presented at each location over a six month period in 2009. The analysis used to determine the impact was obtained from the pre- and post- test questionnaire responses of the participants. Results indicated that, while the participants were aware of the physical and emotional effects of menopause, they were not as knowledgeable of the spiritual aspects that applied to this period scripturally referred to ad the 'evening' of life.
