  • This project investigates the ecclesiologies embedded in the eucharistic celebration, employing theological reflection in a conversation between The Sacramentary and the Catechism of the Catholic Church. Using a heuristic analogy of the body, the project then analyzes three ecclesiologies emerging most clearly from both texts: hierarchical church, communal church, and pilgrim church in mission to the world. Tests of this method in conversation with liturgical leaders who train liturgical coordinators confirmed its usefulness in that training.
