Abstrakt

To be an effective communicator for the Gospel among Tangale people in the northern area of Nigeria, the author emphasizes the need for contextualization. Through interviews of village people, he investigated their concept of God, ways of communication, and communal life. The author concludes that building good human relationships, understanding their ways of communication including the use of mediators and understanding their concept of God and the relationship between their Supreme God and a lower god, Yekku, can make Christian messengers effective communicators.
