  • This study of the role of Roman Catholic campus ministers in dealing with undergraduate students and bigoted behavior is considered from the view of Roman Catholic teaching on racism, the expectations of Catholic campus ministry, and the insights of the social sciences and pastoral theology regarding the development of young adults. The methodology is a practical theological one, beginning with a thick description of contemporary university campuses, leading to a reflection on normative texts, then to a theological model of prophecy, and finally to a pastoral strategy. Transformation models are considered in guiding plans for campus ministry programs.
