Abstrakt

The purpose of this project was to develop a discipleship strategy for Derma Baptist Church in Calhoun County, Mississippi. The project consisted of four stages: (1) exploring the internal demographics, (2) exploring existing models, (3) creating a strategy, and (4) presenting a new strategy for implementation. In the first stage, I explored the internal demographics of Derma Baptist Church to establish discipleship effectiveness. I explored, in the second stage, existing strategy models of discipleship to discover the best practices for development and implementation of a new strategy. Stage three consisted of development of the various stages of the new strategy. In stage three, members of Derma Baptist Church were selected and trained using collected data to move toward the completed strategy. In the final stage, the newly formed strategy team presented the discipleship strategy to Derma Baptist Church’s leadership for approval.
