Abstract
  • The objective of this four-week project was to teach and integrate spiritual values and character based education in a middle school setting to improve students' behavioral skills and proficiency test scores. The methodology included Pre/Post Tests of Spiritual Values, Pre/Post Achievement Tests, and consultations with students, parents, and teachers. The results of the project showed that students' behavior skills increased and academic improvements were made. The summary of the post tests indicated that when teachers, parents, and students work collaboratively with spiritual values as a component of character based education, students' behavioral skills and academic performance increased.
