Abstrakt

Three hypotheses provide the foundation for this project: 1) preaching is an effective means of communication in the life of a congregation; 2) God ministers to people's lives through the scriptures; 3) biblical preaching, which is faithful to God's Word and done with concern for God's people, is relevant preaching. The project includes biblically based sermons and the hearer's description of the effect of ministry on their lives. The result of the project support the hypotheses and undergird the important role of preaching in the church's ministry of pastoral care.
