  • This project chronicles the story of a group within Pleasantville Presbyterian Church, who chose to explore creative writing as a spiritual practice, in order that the faith journeys of individuals be deepened, and the ministry of the congregation be enriched. The model of research was a proactive qualitative case study. It tells the story of the group through journal entries and reflections, written notes from one-on-one conversations, and survey answers of the participants. The research disclosed a process that provided a tool for encouraging spiritual growth in a variety of ways, including healing, intentional living, and a pervasive sense of peace.
