  • The purpose of this project was to discover the factors that assisted in the formation and sustenance of the multiracial non-denominational church of the North Coast, in Lorain, Ohio. The primary focus was whether the building of multiracial congregations promotes racial understanding and reconciliation in a pluralistic society like the United States. To achieve that purpose, 40 Blacks and 40 Whites were surveyed and the data was categorized and analyzed. An overwhelming majority of the participants said love and acceptance were very important factors in breaking the barriers that prevent the building and sustaining of multiracial congregations.
