Abstrakt

The author examined the separation between spiritual and holistic health and healing that exists in most African-American churches. The author further used a pro-active approach to address the lack of ministries that incorporate holistic health. The results of this study were the establishment of the Clinton African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church Holistic and Health Advisory Ministry, that brought awareness to people of the importance of ministering to one's self spiritually, mentally and physically; a framework for other churches to develop a holistic and health ministry; and a paradigm of ministry for the African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church.
