Abstrakt

This project, designed to teach an eight-week lay ministry course of study for adults of First Baptist Church, West Monroe, Louisiana, includes a consideration of the biblical, theological and practical implications of lay ministry. The course is one facet of a church-wide concern for the development and implementation of lay ministry. The primary objectives of the project are to design, recruit for, execute and evaluate the experience. At the conclusion of the experience the participants' confidence and competence for ministry reflected an increase which was registered in evaluation instruments.
