Abstrakt

Cultural differences between the USA and Japan make imperative an adaptation of theological field education as developed in the USA for its introduction to Japanese students of St Anthony Franciscan Seminary, Tokyo. This adapted plan was formulated on the basis of academic study and empirical research among Asian people in America for three years. The research confirmed the conclusions of the academic study. This project is expected to become the foundation and the first step for the generation by the Japanese themselves of a genuine method of ministerial formation in accordance with their culture and needs.
