Abstrakt

The project was designed to explore and ultimately begin healing a congregational trauma from a conflict that occurred in the church almost 30 years ago. It is the author's conclusion that the process that led up to this conflict is part of a learned pattern of behavior. The project presents the theory of learned culture as it relates to the founding and formation of the local church. Specifically, the project addresses the development of organizational culture in the life of the Avon Congregational Church and presents a model for reflection upon both the process and the trauma.
