  • The purpose of this project was to equip selected men from Northwood Baptist Church, Shreveport, Louisiana, to implement Dallas Willard's vision intention means (VIM) pattern of personal transformation found in Renovation of the heart: putting on the character of Christ. Instruction included three introductory sessions and five implementation sessions based on Colossians 3:1-17. The first three sessions were an introduction to VIM, hearing God, and an inductive study of Christ in Colossians. Implementation sessions included heavenly mindedness, sexual sins, social sins, Christlike graces, and spirit-controlled living. Spiritual disciplines were used as the means of spiritual formation.
