  • This project presents a design for a teaching method for the Bible book study curriculum, implemented through teacher training. The methodology can provide teachers effective ways to address student needs and encourage participation in the learning process. Improved teachers' self-esteem will result from new skill and pastoral support. A three part methodology was designed that allowed teachers freedom to construct lesson plans for their specific class. Three one-hour training sessions introduced teachers to the methodology; thirteen weeks of on-the-job training completed the training period. Teachers were able effectively to address student needs, encourage participation, and improve their self-esteem. However, the training was of more importance than the methodology.
