Abstracto

This project proposes the establishment of a Wellness Clinic at International Baptist Church in Memphis, Tennessee. The thesis is that there is a need for greater cooperation between the medical community and the church. Screening and education performed in church stetting would be a help to both parishioners and doctors. Questionnaires used revealed interest among clients and volunteers. On that basis, a clinic was begun and observed for a period of two months. The project demonstrated that health-related screening and education was of benefit to both medical and church communities. The project was to be re-evaluated in another six months.
