Abstrakt

This thesis was a seven-year project promoting the growth of a small church initially averaging 48 participants in worship service. The importance of a strategy for growth and the theological perspectives of church growth are examined. This small church faced major obstacles to growth but at the end of the seven-year period the average number of participants in the worship service grew to 114. The main factors in promoting growth were pulpit preaching and the love/friendliness of the congregation.
