  • Being boundary breakers: Muslim-Christian dialogue in small churches: a process for breaking our barriers to the full recognition of the human dignity of all examines the willingness of Protestant Christians in the Deep South to engage in a brief study of Islam before engaging in Muslim-Christian dialogue by visiting a mosque for Friday prayer. It presents research conducted by analyzing a survey which was completed twice, before and after six weeks of study, by three groups in two different churches. The project finds that while the context limits the ability to engage in substantive Muslim-Christian dialogue, the study did help to clarify a few misunderstandings about Islam.
