Abstrakt

This project proposes a 'church story' process to enhance pastoral effectiveness and community formation in local congregations, testing it with members and former pastors of Harrisburg United Methodist Church (Harrisburg, NC). The project trains laypersons to conduct storytelling interviews and to edit the resulting story of the church for a variety of uses. Congregational storytelling empowers leaders and produces community.
