Abstrakt

The thesis is that oral means of learning by cassette along with personal interaction with a Christian discipler offers the church in Zaire a valuable means for discipling village Christians in the Christian faith. The author first conducts a biblical and theoretical study of the discipling of non-literate believers in an African setting. He then conducted a survey of 314 Zairian young people as a first step toward preparing cassette istructional material. This material was used for five months by cassette monitors and then evaluated. Results in learning and in life changes are described.
