Abstrakt

'God's co-worker' seeks to present James Brainerd Taylor (1801-1829) as an instructive and inspirational model for twenty-first-century evangelism. The study examines who Taylor believed were qualified to be evangelists; his theological motives for and methods of evangelism; and his 'uncommon Christian' discipleship emphases to new converts. Application is made to the early twenty-first-century church throughout the work. The study employed the qualitative research method (biographical-archival).
