  • The purpose of this project was to revitalize a church leadership that had lost its passion for ministry, utilizing a study of the healing ministry of Jesus. Church leaders at Campbell African Methodist Episcopal Church in Washington, D.C. participated in an eight-week Bible study on faith, love, and power, and the healing ministry of Jesus and its implications for the church today. Additionally, participants attended a focus group session to outline the healing ministry of the contemporary church. Study results indicate a renewed passion for ministry. Recommendations include utilizing a study format in sermons and other venues.
