Abstrakt

This project is based on the author's book A comprehensive introduction to Christian lay counseling, (Sioux Falls, SD, Nature Press, 1982). Its thesis is that lay persons may be trained to minister effectively as counselors in local congregations. To confirm this, the project used the guidelines and techniques set forth in the author's book with a group of interested persons in a local church. The project's thesis appeared to be verified through observations of and participant's feedback using the guidelines and techniques developed.
