Abstrakt

This project/thesis is about adolescent substance abusers and how the spiritual program of Alcoholics Anonymous can help them recover from the abuse of drugs and alcohol. The author identifies the experience of adolescents who use chemicals, defines the AA program of spirituality and then develops programs that can interpret this spirituality for adolescents in treatment programs. Ways that pastoral persons can help the substance-abusing adolescent and his or her family to cope with chemical addiction are identified.
