Abstrakt

This project tested the thesis that the study of one person's attempt to identify movements of grace within life experience and to integrate the spiritual significance of those occasions within the larger framework of life experience and growth, can help others to do the same with their own lives. Six participants completed the process using Frederick Buechner's autobiographies, 'The Sacred Journey' and 'Now and Then,' as models for personal theological reflection. There were six sessions and one follow-up. Evaluations from participants supported the thesis while also stressing that this exercise was but one step in their growth process.
