Abstrakt

This project explores the thesis that race and experience shape a pastor's understanding of God and the world, by exploring and comparing the pastoral responses to racially charged violence in America. The research presents insights discovered through the content analysis of a purposeful sample of sermons. The project proclaims there are certain understandings of God and the world that are only uncovered when considering the experiences of a diverse group of people.
