  • This project introduces 'meta-church' theories of church growth to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church (Milwaukee, Wisc) through a two-year process that includes development of congregational mission, vision, and goal statements. The process constructs an infrastructure that encompasses the structure of ministry and the structure of accountability. Leadership training develops a leadership community, which redesigns the confirmation process for grades six to eight as a small-group approach. The project investigates the relation of existing small groups to the theology, worship, and personal faith life of the congregation.
