Abstrakt

This dissertation-project provides a succinct analytical look at the military chaplaincy and the subtle bureaucratic pressures that often succeed in eroding the evangelical chaplain's convictions. The official line is 'cooperation without compromise'. However, this study points out that compromise is often the most expedient step toward career success and must be guarded against by the evangelical chaplain. The author's conclusions tell what changes should be made and what pitfalls evangelical chaplains should avoid.
