Abstrakt

This project was designed to learn about the management of diversity and the conflict it raises and to integrate the learning into a Society of Friends (Quaker) Meeting. A small group of members were taught models of conflict resolution and became the demonstration setting for practicing creative conflict resolution. Pre- and post-testing demonstrated growth and positive change in each participant. The congregation changed from self-defeating patterns in conflict, such as avoidance, to ones which accept diversity and value in appropriate conflict resolution. Documentation verifies that the congregation successfully learned about conflict and its resolution.
