Abstrakt

The purpose of this project was to evaluate how the preaching ministry was perceived by select members of the congregation to promote transformation. Six sermons on personal relationship with God, uniqueness in Christ, commitment to the church, and hope for the future of the church, were prepared and preached. The select members were given evaluations to determine the extent to which they perceived these sermons to effect specific aspects of spiritual formation. The result was minimal transformation of the congregation's perception of the preaching ministry, but greater transformation with the preacher's perception of preparation for the preaching ministry.
