Abstrakt

The purpose of this project was to develop a divorce recovery support group to meet the needs encountered by divorced persons. Instructional sessions were designed to address the needs of divorced persons and to train the experimental group in self-help group dynamics. Experimental and descriptive research methodologies were used with an experimental and a control group. Statistically significant improvement was measured in the divorce adjustment of those involved in the instructional sessions. The experimental group established a divorce recovery support group as an ongoing ministry to divorced persons.
