Abstrakt

Music to be integrated in the corporate worship service should be selected for its ability to communicate the Gospel with theological accuracy and to convey the intent of the congregation to worship, make confession, or make petitions to God with respect and reverence. Through the completion of surveys, lectures, and discussions, pastors and musicians collaborated in the development of a strategy that when implemented, would assist in avoiding the careless application of music that subliminally distracts or confuses the worship experience. The result was the inclusion of music that was consistent with each segment of the worship service.
