Abstrakt

The project is a training manual for Christian counseling, using a biblically based and psychologically sound integrative model. It is applied to the setting of the North American Chinese church; therefore the approach is sensitive to the cultural and social factors involved. The product was tested and evaluated by a small group of competent counselors and pastors in the project phase. It was revised using the group input. The result is a training manual that first outlines the overall principles in counseling Chinese. Counseling in the different areas of specific personal and interpersonal needs are then outlined.
