Abstrakt

The thesis is divided into two sections. Part one focuses on the paradigms that determine the why, the what, the who and the how of preaching. Part two focuses on the partnership aspect of preaching. It includes sample sermons, responses and lesson plans to help a class get more out of the sermon. The project concludes that many old paradigms of preaching are still valid and should be reclaimed and mastered but new paradigms also are needed for this day. The sermon of the church is not the one given from the pulpit but the one the people carry into the world.
