  • Now is the opportune time for the Church to engage in mission and ministry in the corporate workplace by meeting contemporary needs of the American corporation. This project relies on the biblical traditions 'called to be sent' and diakonos. The author wants the Church to serve in the corporate world by binding up wounds and restoring health and wholeness to a hurting and alienated people. In Methodist history, the workplace has been an arena for ministry since John Wesley preached in the mines and factories. The author examines the work of social scientists and business writers including Alvin Toffler, John Naisbitt, Tom Peters and William Ouchi.
