  • This project proposes guided imagery exercises to be used in spiritual direction or psychotherapy with people who have suffered abuse, founding these exercises on archetypal symbols derived from Jungian psychology and on a process--moving from memory to voice to detachment to empowerment--drawn from liberation theology. The project finds that such universal images, when used in a meditative state can be an effective means to a healing, spiritual encounter.
