Abstract
  • The purpose of this project was to develop and test a training model for Chinese church leaders in the United States to use in training both Chinese-born and American-born Chinese church leaders and members for effective conflict management. The biblical model of conflict resolution between Aramaic-speaking and Greek-speaking Christians provided inspiration for the project. A questionnaire was designed to survey and gather data on conflict management of Chinese-born and American-born Chinese church leaders. Next, training sessions were developed with six areas of emphasis. They were conducted at three Chinese churches in different geographical locations. The training provided the participants with basic skills in handling conflict.
