Abstrakt

This project seeks to translate a theology of the ministry of the laity into practice in the life of a local congregation through the development of a lay leadership training program by the pastor of the church. It describes the various stages of development of the program - research, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The results indicated a high degree of interest in the program, evidence that most participants had gained greater clarity, confidence, and satisfaction in relation to their responsibilities, and signs that the overall functioning of the boards had improved in ways that strengthened the whole church.
