Abstrato
  • This study attempts to test the effectiveness of an interpersonal skills-training program on candidates preparing for ministry. It reports on evaluations made by students who participated in the program and on a correlational study carried out on the relationship between interpersonal skills training and change in the self-concept of students. The design was based on a two-group pretest/posttest follow-up model using the Tennessee Self-Concept Scale. A statistical analysis of all TCS subscale and total scores disclosed no systematic effect of the intervention on self-concept. Time would seem to be a key variable determining the effectiveness of the training.
