Abstrakt

The purpose of this project was to lead selected married couples of First Baptist Church, Canton, Mississippi, in developing communications skills to strengthen the family unit. Assisting in building happy marriages and developing effective communication skills were the goals of this project. The project methodology included interviews, lectures, group discussions, and questionnaires on financial management, sex, individual differences, and marital strengths and weaknesses. This occurred during the seven-week project with nine couples. Examination of post evaulation data indicates goals were reached. Strengthened communication skills enabling identification of solutions to marital problems were achieved.
