Abstrakt

Pastoral care of older adults can be approached through the use of their life stories. The author uses theological themes borrowed from Paul Pruyser and Elizabeth Whitehead to view these life stories. The author gains a pastoral perspective of these persons, consults pastoral evaluators, determines potential pastoral responses and then carries out several activities of ministry with these older adults. This approach to ministry is a process of pastoral care which permits informed, intentional and continuous caring with older persons.
