Abstrakt

This project prescribes strategies that a preacher in the first three years of a new pastorate can use to build community between preacher and people through preaching, to identify and understand congregation groups through sermon formation gatherings, and to respond to particular needs of a congregation--especially dying and death. The project uses surveys, focus-group discussions and in-depth interviews to help pastors build strong foundations in a new pastorate.
