Abstrakt

This is a case study to determine the impact of a workshop based presentation of discipling in developing a relationship based, multiplying process of discipling in local congregations of the Ecuador Evangelical Covenant Church. The workshop was developed and implemented by the author in cooperation with Ecuadorian leadership during a two-year term from July, 1999, to June, 2001. Questionnaires and interviews were used to evaluate the outcome. They indicated significant involvement in discipling as much as two years after the workshop. The paper concludes that there was significant movement forward in local church understanding and practice of discipling.
