  • The purpose of this major applied project is to examine, understand, and address the attitudes of the fathers of St John's Lutheran Church of Durand, Wisconsin, have toward worship. The author applied, for his qualitative research model, the genogram interview instrument to eight male subjects from his congregation in order to establish a four generation spiritual profile for each of the subjects' families. The author determined that children tend to imitate--whether positively or negatively--the same attitudes and habits of worship as that of their fathers, more so than their mothers.
