Abstrakt

The project develops an adult Christian education program to minister to a West African church. The author interviewed 50 adult Africans to ascertain needs that may be met by an adult Christian education program in the church. The information was used to outline a curriculum for ministry to and with adults. A unit on family life and ministry to single parent families was tested in a church setting. Interviews and observations of the participants in the ministry evidenced emotional healing, acceptance of the reality of the disruption of their family life, and adjustment to single parenting. The author concludes that family life problems can be met by the proposed curriculum.
