Abstrakt

This dissertation examines how a rigorous improvement plan might benefit both the expository preacher and the local church. The conclusions reached demonstrate that improvements can be made in both exegetical and homiletical components of genuine expository preaching. Other expository preachers are encouraged to involve themselves evermore in the consuming task of presenting the glory of God through the text of Holy Scripture. The dissertation describes the author's project in helping a church love expository preaching, even as the author preached in perilous times.
