Abstrakt

The purpose of this project was to equip the staff and a select group of covenant members of Northshore Church in Slidell, Louisiana to provide administrative ministry utilizing a team leadership approach. A training plan was developed utilizing available leadership materials and existing research. The training included seven didactic sessions covering the subjects of team leadership, servant leadership, personal leadership, team communication, team conflict, team spirituality, and team purpose/function. Each individual completed a spiritual gift inventory and participated in a consensus building activity. The team went on a weekend retreat which included one of the didactic sessions, and six different ropes course challenges. Team members read and gave a brief assessment of an assigned book on leadership and analyzed several chapters of Proverbs in regards to leadership principles.
